In 1993 L. Dobaczewski, I. D. Hawkins and A. R. Peaker were awarded the UK National prize for Measurement for the invention of Laplace DLTS by the National Physical Laboratory (http://www NULL.npl NULL.co NULL.uk/).
The Laplace Deep Level Transient Spectroscopic system has been developed within the European Union project Copernicus № CIPA CT-094 172 by the Project partners (1995-1998).
In parallel the project entitled New high-resolution spectroscopy of point defects in semiconductors (Nowa wysokorozdzielcza spektroskopia centrów defektowych w materiałach półprzewodnikowych), number Nr 8 S501 035 05, funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, has been carried out in Poland, 1993-1995
In 1997 A.R. Peaker was awarded a Royal Academy of Engineering (http://www NULL.raeng NULL.org NULL.uk) Fellowship to spend a year at the High Magnetic Field Lab in Grenoble (http://www NULL.lncmi NULL.cnrs NULL.fr/?lang=en) working with J-C Portal and D Maude to investigate perturbations to carrier emission using Laplace DLTS in high magnetic fields and under uni-axial stress.
Upgrading Laplace DLTS system to the Transient Processor stage was possible due to funds obtained in 2004-2005 from The Foundation for Polish Science (http://www NULL.fnp NULL.org NULL.pl/ang/index NULL.html) within the TECHNE programme (project № TECHNE 17/2004).
Recently completed projects: Instrument to probe the electronic and structural properties of impurities, defects and nanostructures in semiconductor materials and devices (http://gow NULL.epsrc NULL.ac NULL.uk/NGBOViewGrant NULL.aspx?GrantRef=EP/C009738/1), funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, carried out at the University of Manchester, 2005-2008
… and High-resolution optical Laplace transient spectroscopy (Stanowisko do optycznej wysokorozdzielczej laplasowskiej spektroskopii zjawisk niestacjonarnych), funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, carried out in Poland 2007-2008
