SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE

The International Conference on Extended Defects in Semiconductors EDS'98is to be held on September 6 - 11, 1998 in Ustron-Jaszowiec, Poland. This conference is the 7th of the EDS series inaugurated in Hünfeld, Germany in 1978 and succeeds the recent conferences held in Holzhau, Germany (1992), and Giens, France (1996).

International Conferences on Extended Defects in Semiconductors are workshop-type meetings of world specialists in solid state physics and materials science. They are aimed at discussing the development in the physics of extended defects in semiconductor materials and heterostructures. They are also a forum for integration between scientists and technologists working in this field both in fundamental research and industrial applications.

The main topics of the Conference are:

The scientific program of EDS'98 includes invited talks, poster sessions (contributed papers) and panel discussion. The number of participants is limited.

The official conference language is English.
