Research Activities


The theoretical studies of the Group are mostly concentrated on the following subjects:

  • Structural, electronic, spin and optical properties of semiconductor nanostructures.
    In particular properties of:
    • III-V and VI-VI quantum nanowires,
    • II-VI/IV-VI nanostructures and mixed crystals,
    • GaAs/GaAlAs two dimensional heterostructures and quantum dots,
    • Two dimensional heterostructures and nanowires of diluted magnetic semiconductors,
  • Electron states of shallow impurities and excitons in semiconductors,
  • Mechanical properties of biomolecule fibrils.
