OBJECTIVE

The workshop is organised by the Center of Excellence "Physics and Fabrication of Low Dimensional Structures for Technologies of Future Generation" CELDIS under the I HP-INCO-2 Action of the 5th Framework Programme.

The workshop is intended to advance the science and techniques of III-V and II-VI semiconductors processing through lectures, contributed papers, discussion and exchange of ideas and new approaches.

Invited and contributed talks and field visits to CELDIS laboratories will focus on the following topics:

> Patterning and etching for fabrication of nanostructures,
> Self-ordering techniques for fabrication of nanostructures,
> Nanoscale characterisation of materials,
> Semiconductor technology reliability at the nanometer scale.

FORMAT OF THE CONFERENCE

The workshop will consist of invited talks and poster presentations.
The poster session is scheduled for 2-2.5 hours right after Friday panel session. Contributed papers will be displayed as a poster on a panel 1,0 m high by 1,0 m width.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION

Deadline for registration is August 10, 2001.
The maximum number of registrants is about 80, so please register early.

CONFERENCE FEE AND PAYMENT

Conference fee (including lunches, Get Together party and snacks during coffee breaks) is 400 PLN (current exchange rate 1EURO=3,67 PLN).
