M.Sc. Katarzyna Gas from the Institute of Physics PAS was awarded a diploma and a medal for the best poster presented during the International Conference on Oxide Materials for Electronic Engineering OMEE-2012 (3-7 września, Lwów, Ukraina).
The awarded work "ZnTe Nanowires Overgrown by Atomic Layer Deposited (Zn,Co) Oxides: Raman Scattering Studies" (  ) has been prepared by K. Gas, E. Dynowska, M.I. Łukasiewicz, M. Wiater, B.S. Witkowski, E. Guziewicz, M. Godlewski, A. Kamińska, R. Holyst, T. Wojtowicz and W. Szuszkiewicz.
The presented results were devoted to the growth and characterization of the "core-shell"-type semiconductor nanowires containing zinc and cobalt oxides optical properties. This work, resulting from a collaboration between the Institute of Physics PAS and the Institute of Chemical Physics PAS, was realized in the framework of the Operational Programme Innovative Economy, 2007-2013 under the project Nr. POIG.01.01.02-00-008/08 entitled "Kwantowe nanostruktury półprzewodnikowe do zastosowań w biologii i medycynie - Rozwój i komercjalizacja nowej generacji urządzeń diagnostyki molekularnej opartych o nowe polskie przyrządy półprzewodnikowe".
