 Submission of papers

Authors are requested to submit three copies of their manuscript (containing copies of text and figures), and one set of
original figures) to one of the Guest Editors of the special issue of the Journal of Alloys and Compounds (Czeslaw Kapusta,
Marek Stankiewicz) at the beginning of ISSRNS 2000

Contributions are accepted on the understanding that authors have obtained the necessary authority for publication. Submission of an article is understood to imply that the article is original and unpublished and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Upon acceptance of an article by the journal, the author(s) will be asked to transfer the copyright of the article to the publisher. This transfer will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information.

Manuscript preparation

The manuscripts should not exceed 16 A4 double spaced pages

Three copies consisting of text and figures should be submitted. The text should be given in double-spaced typing on pages of uniform size with wide margins. Some flexibility of presentation will be allowed but authors are urged to arrange the subject matter clearly under such headings as: Introduction, Experimental details, Results, Discussion, etc. A short abstract should accompany all papers. Up to five keywords reflecting the content of the contribution should be supplied at the bottom of the title page. These will be used only for indexing purposes.

References should be numbered consecutively (in square brackets) throughout the text and collected together in a reference list at the end of the paper. Journal titles should be abbreviated according to the Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index, 1970 edition, and supplements. The abbreviated title should be followed by volume number, year (in parentheses) and page number.

One set of original figures must be submitted. Line drawings should be in a form suitable for reproduction, drawn in black ink on drawing paper (letter height 3-5 mm). Photographs should be submitted as clear black-and-white prints on glossy paper. Each illustration must be clearly numbered.

Legends to the illustrations should be numbered consecutively and separately throughout the paper.

Submission of Electronic Text

The final text may be submitted on a 3.5 inch or 5.25 inch disk (in addition to two hard copies with original figures). Double density (DD) or high density (HD) disks formatted for MS-DOS or Apple Macintosh are acceptable, but must be formatted to their capacity before the files are copied on to them. The files should be saved on the native format of the wordprocessing program
used. Most popular wordprocessor file formats are acceptable. It is essential that the name and version of the wordprocessing
format, type of computer on which the text was prepared, and format of the text files are clearly indicated.

Proofs

Authors will receive proofs in duplicate. One set should be corrected and returned as soon as possible. No new material may be inserted in the text at the time of proof-reading.

Offprints

25 offprints will be supplied free of charge to the author(s). Additional offprints can be ordered at prices shown on the offprint order form accompanying the proofs.
