LOCATION AND CLIMATE

The tourist village of Jaszowiec belongs to the Ustron spa, located in Beskidy mountains in the Southern part of Poland, about 30 km from Bielsko-Biala (150 km South-West from Kraków).

In June, the weather is usually warm and pleasant, with the temperature reaching up to 25° C and rather cool nights. Nevertheless, sudden changes including rains and drops of day temperature under 10° C are not exceptional. The sport shoes for mountain hiking are recommended.

Participants can take train. The nearest railway station to the Hotel Gwarek (about 2 km) is Ustron-Polana on the railway line Katowice–Wisla.

There are also bus connections from Katowice, and Bielsko Biala, with bus-stops near the stations. Taxi is available from Bielsko-Biala to Jaszowiec, at cost about 200/300 PLN (40/60 USD; prices are for day/ night service).
