Low-dimensional crystalline structures

Division of Theoretical Physics, IP PAS

About us

Our studies are mostly concentrated on structural, electronic, spin and topological properties of semiconductor nanostructures. In particular:

  • III-V and VI-VI quantum nanowires and 2dim quantum wells
  • II-VI/IV-VI nanostructures and mixed crystals
  • IV-VI topological crystalline semiconductors
  • Electronic topological properties of thin films, quantum wells and nanowires.
  • Topological properties of defects.
  • GaAs/GaAlAs two dimensional heterostructures and quantum dots
  • Two dimensional heterostructures and nanowires of diluted magnetic semiconductors
  • Dynamics of growth processes and surface pattern formation,
  • Surface and interface diffusion
